Qwerktiy

Quirky and Unusual Gifts for Everyone

Qwerkity operated online and published a mail‐order catalogue. Its products were unusual, practical and fun. Where possible, they sourced British products but also scoured the world for original items that could not be found in the UK.

Digital creative assets

The Book People acquired the gift company Qwerkity in 2017, heralding its expansion into the gift market. The brand was modernised, to give the content a more contemporary feel without alienating its existing “Older” target audience.

I ensured the creative assets I designed reflected the latest brand guidelines and that all elements of my design including typography, composition and colour, delivered the best visual representation of each product, promotional offer and marketing message.

Responsive email design

I updated Qwerkity’s marketing email templates to be consistent with the latest refreshed brand guidelines. The templates were designed to be responsive and vigorously tested using Litmus to ensure that they were robust across all popular email clients, tablet and mobile devices.

To improve workflow it was important to ensure any creative assets I produced were labelled logically with useful metadata and added into a digital asset management system to improve searchability and their reuse in the future.
